Frequently asked questions
Is this invoice generator really free?
Yes. It is free with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many invoices, quotes or receipts you create.
Are my invoice details uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs inside your browser. Your business details, clients, drafts and logo are saved only in this browser's local storage on your device, and the PDF is created on your device.
Can I add GST or VAT?
Yes. Choose “On total” to apply one tax rate to the whole invoice, or “Per item” to set a different rate on each line. You can name the tax GST, VAT, Sales Tax or anything else, and Indian users can show it split as CGST + SGST.
Which currencies are supported?
Over 30, including USD ($), INR (₹), EUR (€), GBP (£), AED, SAR, CAD, AUD, SGD, PKR, BDT, NGN, PHP and JPY. Amounts use the right symbol and decimals, and INR uses Indian digit grouping (1,23,456.00).
How does invoice numbering work?
Each new invoice gets the next number automatically (INV-0001, INV-0002…). Quotes and receipts have their own series. You can type any number or prefix you like and the next one continues from it.
Can I save clients and drafts?
Yes. Save a client once and pick them from the list next time. “Save draft” keeps an invoice so you can reopen and edit it later in the same browser. Clearing your browser data removes them, so download the PDF for your records.
Can I make a quotation or a payment receipt?
Yes. Switch the document type to Quote or Receipt. The title, numbering and date labels change automatically, and the “Amount paid” field shows the balance.
